The reason I haven't posted in a while...Ravelry kidnapped me for a couple months :)
Well, that and I've been real busy knitting for the holidays. I'm on a huge lace kick right now and besides sweaters, it seems to be all I want to knit. Got in lots of yummy yarns and needles, however it never seems to be enough for me. It's like a drug and I'm totally hooked on yarn. I gotta have it...but unfortunately my wallet doesn't think so.
Little Miss Princess had an awesome Christmas and now our living room is stuffed to the brink with toys. I had a pretty good Christmas as well. Got a new rolling yarn tote to carry my projects and stuff for when I teach that knitting class at the college.
I'll get pics of current projects and yarn in a little while, gotta reorganize everything today.

Finally! Something for my daughter!
So Dakotah's birthday party is on Saturday, she turned two yesterday! I knit these pants for her party with the yarn I previously posted from my score in the yarn swap. They came out so cute! And after trying them on her, she refused to let me take them off to wash and block em!
Doesn't she look so proud? Poor thing has a serious lack of knitted goodies from me :(
Currently, I'm working on the shawl with the wool/silk blend. I do need to finish David's socks though...but I'm enjoying the quick knitting of the size 11's LOL!

More FO's and WIP's!
So I have 1 custom order left to do WOO! Then it's all knitting for family, me and the new site. Just finished these sets up for Lacey
They have both been lovingly packaged up and will be on their way to her tomorrow morning - because I missed the maillady this morning :(
Anyway, here's the beginning of a shawl I'm knitting for M.E.! It's a wool/silk blend heavy worsted weight yarn, I'm knitting it on size 11 needles to give it a lacey open look. Knits up fast too!
Also, I just recently finished these up. NIGHTMARE! Sportweight Extra Large longies...never...ever...again! There's 4,851 stitches IN EACH LEG! My poor hands ached for 2 days after finished these. BUT...I am thrilled with how they came out and the pain was so worth it....but I'll still never do it again LOL!

Ah The Joy of Sock Knittiing
I admit I haven't knitted sock in ages, okay maybe about 2 years. So the needle shock was quite alarming at first. To go from knitting with size 7's constantly to size 1 dpns...took a bit of adjusting. But I love my socks now! I won't take them off - ok to wash only LOL! Here's the pair, the yarn is Trekking XXL in greens/blue I think I have enough left over to make my daughter a matching pair. ;-)

Lovin It!!
I am so loving this colorway! I dyed up some Cascade 220 wool. I actually like the Cascade, I've been told that it's similar to Knit Picks WOTA - but I really don't like WOTA and I like this...so IMO they aren't that similar. Anyhow, I was going for a purple/blue/green colorway and actually ended up with a very boyish blue/yellow/green/brown. It's knitting up very nice. These are going to be shorties for a custom. I hope I can remember the exact color mix to recreate it later. It was handpainted and boy is that so much more fun than kettle dyeing!!
